Yuanyang Rice Terraces are located in the southern part of Yunnan Province, approximately 360 km from Kunming, with an elevation ranging between 1,000 and 2,000 meters. The terraces, resembling chains and ribbons, are spread across various towns in Yuanyang County. The Hani people have utilized the unique geographical environment for generations, resulting in this world wonder. The terraces are built according to the mountain topography, with larger fields being cultivated alongside smaller ones, often found in the crevices of rocks, layering beautifully and creating a magnificent sight.
