Yunnan Tour > Yunnan Ethnic Minority Tour > 2 Days Jingmai Mountain Tour

Jingmai Mountain is located in Lancang County, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province, with an altitude of 1,500 meters. It was added to China's List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2022 and is the world's first World Cultural Heritage project related to tea culture. This place is not only the origin of tea trees but also the birthplace of tea cultivation under trees, with a history of over 1,000 years, creating a unique minority tea forest landscape. The tea culture of Jingmai Mountain is ancient, well-preserved, and extensive, making it the largest artificial tea forest in the world with the longest history.
The minority groups in Jingmai Mountain, such as Blang people and Dai people, have been accompanying tea for thousands of years, creating a rich tea culture. Tea is not just a drink, but an integral part of their lives, including weddings, funerals, business, and other important events. Before the tea season begins, villagers will also worship the "Tea God Tree," praying for good weather, good tea harvests, and peace. This reverence for tea is truly touching.
