Day 1: Arrival in Kunming

Upon arrival at Kunming Changshui International Airport, staff will arrange transportation to your hotel. After checking in, you can explore Kunming Old Street or rest to prepare for the upcoming itinerary.

Day 2: Kunming -Baoshan-Mangshi  

Attractions & Activities: Menghuan Golden Stupa, Dai Ethnic Ancient Town

Accommodation: Mangshi  
After breakfast at the hotel, take a HSR to Baoshan (about 4 hours), suggested to start around 08:00. Upon arrival in Baoshan, travel by car to Mangshi (147KM, 2 hours). After arrival, enjoy complimentary coffee afternoon tea, then visit the brilliant Menghuan Golden Stupa located on the peak of Leiya Mountain in southeastern Mangshi, a sacred place for the local Dai people. Immerse yourself in the unique ethnic culture at Dai Ethnic Ancient Town, feeling as if you have stepped back into ancient times.

Day 3: Mangshi-Ruili-Tengchong

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, take a car to Ruili (99KM, 1 hour and 20 minutes).
Moli Tropical Rainforest Scenic Area: It is also known as “Zhado.” According to legend, the Buddha once meditated and bathed by the hot springs here, leaving behind a large footprint. In memory of the Buddha’s visit, later generations referred to this place as “Zhado,” which is derived from the Pali term for the great Buddha footprint.
Jiele Golden Pagoda is the premier Theravada Buddhist pagoda in the country and one of the five major pagodas in Southeast Asia, well-known for its significance.
Ruili Grand Buddhist Temple (Bodhi School, Dai King Palace): Also known as the Ruili Dai King Palace Grand Buddhist Temple, it is a historically significant Theravada Buddhist temple, believed to have been founded by two Theravada Buddhist monks who came from Myanmar in the mid-7th century, making it over 1,400 years old. The Grand Buddhist Temple carries deep cultural heritage and religious significance.
After that, take a car to Tengchong (179KM, 2 hours and 15 minutes), passing by the largest bridge in Asia, Longjiang Bridge. The bridge features a double-tower single-span steel box girder suspension structure and is the first super-large span steel box girder suspension bridge in Yunnan Province, as well as the largest span steel box girder suspension bridge in mountainous areas of Asia.

Day 4: Tengchong

Visit the Tengchong market, the liveliest place filled with local and exotic flavors, where you can see rich local culture and meet friendly locals. Explore the diverse products from mountain goods to Southeast Asian specialties. In the afternoon: choose one seasonal attraction (depending on the season). The seasonal highlight is based on local temperatures and rainfall, with flower periods affected by the weather.

Day 5: Tengchong

After breakfast, visit Heshun Ancient Town, known as a trading hub on the Southern Silk Road with a rich history of over 600 years. After dinner, go to enjoying the show of “Tengchong Fantasy”

Day 6: Tengchong- Baoshan-Kunming

After Breakfast, Take a Car to Baoshan High-Speed Railway Station (143KM, 2 hours) and Take a High-Speed Train (4 hours) Back to Kunming. Service ends.
